CHEF DE PARTIE – JOB ADVERT

Starting from £18,000, subject to experience

SKM PUBS AND RESTAURANTS – THE COWPER ARMS – DIGSWELL

 

We are now looking for a talented CDP, to join a team of chefs at, The Cowper Arms located in Digswell, Welwyn, AL6 0EA.

This exciting opportunity is with SKM Ltd pubs, the privately-owned pub group operating six pubs across the beautiful towns and villages of Hertfordshire, each with it’s own unique character and flavours.

We have built our reputation on unrivalled service and a delicious honest food.  We are passionate about doing the right thing and we care about and acknowledge our team.

Our CDPs are passionate about food and love working with fresh ingredients. They will work well with a team and assist the head-chef and sous-chef in any way they can to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen. A successful applicant must be able to take instruction from the head/sous chefs and also to learn from them and take initiative to ensure the pub is able to provide the high quality service our guests expect.

You will:

  • Prepare, cook and present dishes assigned to your responsibility
  • Ensure the preparation work is done to allow the head-chef and sous-chef to quickly send out meals to a high standard
  • Ensure chef’s stations are well stocked with anything they may need throughout service
  • Maintain a safe, tidy and hygienic kitchen at all times
  • Assist the head and sous in any way required for the smooth operation of the business

Other requirements:

  • Have good cooking skills and a passion for working with fresh ingredients
  • Work well under pressure and in a busy environment
  • Communicate well as part of a team
